evan ray suzuki is a director and cinematographer of yonsei Japanese descent originally from Whidbey Island, WA, currently based in Brooklyn, NY. evan's works span narrative and experimental genres, as well as music video and commercial, and are known for their dynamic compositions, idiosyncratic progressions, and frequent use of rigorous physical work based in butoh. evan also creates live performance works.
