Biography:

Debargha Maschatak is a multi-disciplinary filmmaker, AI VFX artist, and Founding Member of IndieRise Studios whose work has reached the Cannes Marché du Film. Blending traditional storytelling with cutting-edge technology, his directorial and VFX ventures have been awarded and showcased globally - from the IFFI Goa Film Bazaar and the Waves AI Summit to festivals across the world in Sydney, Lyon, Cannes, Seoul, New York, London, etc. He has collaborated on projects with major industry players, notable figures and worked alongside legendary studios like Dharma Productions, Reliance Entertainment, Excel Entertainment, etc. As a writer & director, his award-winning short films have garnered support from cinematic icons, as well as executives from Disney and Netflix. Beyond production, he serves as the Festival Programmer for India's largest student-run film festival “Chhayanat Film & Theatre Festival” at Jadavpur University, where he is pursuing his Master's in Film Studies. He has also created official content for prominent organizations and government bodies, including Coal India, Wow Momo, Kloq Ride, Flutr, NCSM & IIT Madras.
