David Frankel (born April 2, 1959) is an American filmmaker. He is best known for directing The Devil Wears Prada (2006) and its 2026 sequel, as well as two episodes of the miniseries Band of Brothers (2001), for which he won an Emmy Award. He also won the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film for Dear Diary (1996).
