Born on January 6, 2000, Mavromatis began his academic journey studying Journalism and Film Theory at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, building a strong foundation for understanding cinema’s narrative and cultural impact. He later pursued formal studies in Film Directing, where he refined his technical skills and developed his unique cinematic voice. His bachelor's thesis focused on the filmography of Darren Aronofsky—his favorite director—whose influence can be felt in Mavromatis’ own work.
