Biography:

Truman Marlowe (born September 26, 2005), also known as Truman Duren, is an American screenwriter, filmmaker, and television writer. In 2025, he founded the Scarlet Wave Production company, which produces films made through Ithaca College. He directed the 2025 period drama Uppercrust, starring Johnny Brown Jr.  Marlowe’s films often employ stylized realism, long takes, theatrical dialogue, and real locations. Cited influences include French filmmaker Céline Sciamma and the late Japanese filmmaker Akira Kurosawa. Marlowe also directed the psychological thriller At the Sight of the Dark, the teen drama Cadillac DeVille, and the quiet character mosaic Evergreen. Upcoming projects include the survival film Bury the Living, the romantic drama Flaming Maple, and the 18th-century epic With Rapture.
