Biography:

Norbert Kollár is a Hungarian writer and director working across live action and animation. He is closely involved in the creative development of his projects. At the core of his work lies a recurring artistic pursuit: seeking beauty, tenderness, and grace within the most fragile and extreme human situations. His stories often unfold around loss, fear, and moral uncertainty, not to resolve them, but to observe how meaning can still emerge from within them. Across genres such as drama, horror, and science fiction, Kollár favors character-driven narratives shaped by internal states rather than plot mechanics. Silence, atmosphere, and visual composition frequently carry emotional weight, though dialogue is used deliberately when required by character and situation. He develops original projects alongside literary adaptations, working on short films, feature-length screenplays, and animated formats including stop-motion. Several of his projects are currently in development and production.
