Benjamin Viljoen is a young composer, singer and musician with a particular strength in choral music. He has been recognised nationally for his composition work, receiving Very Highly Commended for his piece Ek herhaal jou in the 2025 NZCF-SOUNZ Choral Composition Competition, and previously placing second for The Dandelion. He is also an accomplished bass singer, having been selected for the New Zealand Secondary Students’ Choir, while performing with MANifesto. Alongside composition and singing, Benjamin has developed leadership experience and continues to pursue a broad range of musical interests.
