Rachel James Carrière is a neurodivergent interdisciplinary artist who grew up in farmlands outside a small town, surrounded by glorious apple trees and cornfields. This early connection to the living world continues to shape and inspire their artistic practice. From a young age, Rachel was drawn to capturing their environment through montage, fascinated by texture and colour. Their passion for storytelling expanded when they moved to Montreal for university, where they explored animation and deepened their practice across multiple mediums. With a foundation in traditional painting and drawing, Rachel blends somatic sensibilities with digital experimentation. Their work reflects devotion to curiosity, creative evolution, and community-building.
