Eleanor Szydlowska

Biography:

Szydlowska is an illustrator, writer and animator currently based in London / Liverpool. She enjoys exploring narratives through surreal imagery, and using a mix of digital and analogue techniques to realise her ideas. Szydlowska was commissioned by New Creatives in 2021 to direct her first animated short, HAV, currently airing on BBC iPlayer. Her debut graphic novel of the same name was published by Marginal Publishing in Autumn 2023. Both follow a boy haunted by nightmares of being consumed by the sea.
