Carlo Bertotti and Flavio Ferri met at a language-focused high school in the 1980s. From then on they began collaborating on various musical projects, eventually forming Delta V, who in 2025 celebrated 30 years together: it was in 1995 that they signed their first record deal. They made their debut in 1998 with the album “Spazio”, which was a great success and won the Ciampi Award for best debut record. The album featured the single “Se telefonando”, which brought Delta V into heavy radio rotation and made them the alternative soundtrack of the summer. It was followed by the album “Psychobeat” (1999), which marked the arrival of new singer Lu Heredia in place of Francesca Touré. Two years later came the album “Monaco 74” (2001), with a further line-up change: Georgeanne “Gi” Kalweit became the band’s new voice, and “Un’estate fa” spent more than twenty weeks on the sales and airplay charts. In 2004 the band released a new studio album, “Le cose cambiano”, preceded by a cover of Lucio Battisti’s “Prendila così”. The following year saw the release of “Collection”, an anthology that also gathered all of the band’s music videos, a testament to the importance Delta V have always placed on telling their songs through images. 2006 brought a new album, “Pioggia Rosso Acciaio”, followed by a new tour, after which, from 2008, the band took a long hiatus. Ten years later, to mark the anniversary of 25 April (Italy’s Liberation Day), Delta V came back together to create a short documentary on the civil war and the Resistance, titled “Gli Ultimi” and directed by Lorenzo D’Orazio, for which they wrote the soundtrack. In the following months they released “L'inverno e le nuvole”, a new track that marked the beginning of a new recording phase and the arrival of Marti, the band’s new singer. After the release of the song “San Babila Ore 20”, Delta V returned in 2019 with the critically acclaimed album “Heimat”. The record opened a new season built on a different framework from their early work: the drive became one of portraying the present day, with a less pronounced leaning toward the radio-friendly sound that had characterised the band’s first albums. The tour following the album’s release was cut short by the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. At the end of 2024, Delta V returned to the studio after a long period devoted to producing new material: writing songs increasingly became an opportunity to tell stories, evoke images and describe everyday life. The new tracks were produced by Roberto Vernetti and Paolo Gozzetti, whose past collaborations include Patty Pravo, Elisa, Malika Ayane, Casino Royale, Pacifico and The Human League. On 17 October 2025 the new album “In fatti ostili” was released, preceded in May and October of the same year by the singles “Nazisti dell’Illinois” and “Regole a Milano”. The album’s journey continues with “In fatti ostili RMX”, out on 31 July 2026: a complete reimagining through the interpretations of artists and producers from the Italian alternative scene, offering a fresh sonic perspective on the record’s songs. www.deltav.it
