Sebastian Ramos is a DePaul University Film School graduate, concentrating in Sound Design, with a minor in Game Design. At a young age, Sebastian was introduced to older films from the 80s, such as Star Wars and Karate Kid. As he grew older, movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe began shaping his formative years. Additionally, he had a keen interest in music, theatre, and video games, further igniting his love for storytelling from both an on-stage/screen and behind-the-scenes perspective. Throughout elementary and middle school, he would always gather his friends and family and make them participate in fun home movies for the pure enjoyment that it brought him. He also enjoys playing instruments, making music, mostly on guitar and piano, and singing. Sebastian also served as a Creative Director for one of DePaul's a Cappella groups, InterChorus, for 3 years. He loves to arrange songs that speak to him for the group to perform, and he was in charge of managing the filming of the group's concerts and livestreaming events, and handled recording, editing, and mixing the group's songs in a studio setting. Following graduation, he still assists the group with arranging and behind-the-scenes video and audio work. Fast forward to today, Sebastian has found a way to combine his love for film, music, and video games through the areas of Sound Design and Scoring. The overlap between said media encompasses what he loves about each of them and allows him to use his abilities and passion for the work. He also supports other film students at DePaul by being a boom operator and sound mixer on student sets and on projects for Bottled Up Pictures, a small production company run by him and his roommates. Recently, he has been location sound mixing for Charter Film's Full Volume Sessions music series.
