Biography:

Maia Niwa is an accomplished young New Zealand hip-hop dancer and choreographer who has built extensive experience through competitive dance in New Zealand and overseas. As a member of Anomaly Dance Studio’s competitive dance community, she has trained and performed in high-level hip-hop competitions across Aotearoa and internationally, competing on major hip-hop stages, performing in World competitions in Portugal and Australia. Alongside competing, Maia has developed as a choreographer, creating award-winning routines including Madame, which won the Year 9/10 division at DanceNZmade Regional 2. Her dedication to hip-hop, international competition experience and growing work as a choreographer have established her as an ambitious young dancer within New Zealand’s competitive hip-hop scene.
