Biography:

Sara Gatta (b. 2002) was born in Irpinia and graduated as an actress in Rome from the "Teatro Azione" acting school. She further developed her playwriting skills through workshops led by Lino Musella and Federico Malvaldi. On stage, she has been directed by Paolo Zuccari (Hamlet, 2023) and Andrea Trapani (Cantiere Koltès, 2024). In 2023, she took part in the 10th edition of the Sponz Fest, created and directed by Vinicio Capossela, performing in “Kόρη (Ho perso la testa)” by Maria Rachele Branca and Rossella Della Vecchia. ​A LA MER’CA (2025) is her first play as a playwright, which selected her as a finalist for the "ATTI FUTURI 2025" and "DRAMMI DI FORZA MAGGIORE 2025" calls for submissions. In 2026, she worked as a screenwriter, casting director, and acting coach on the medium-length film "CI AVETE ABBANDONATI" by Giuseppe Pullo and Martin Di Lucia.
