Danyell Souza

Biography:

Danyell Souza aka (Dahlia Dread) is best known for as the lead vocalist for alternative rock band Dead Posey that she formed with co-creator Tony Nova (formerly of Eve 6). Dead Posey has had their songs placed in numerous Television/Film & Video games as well as played notable festivals such as Download Festival, MadCool Festival and toured the UK, US & Canada with acts such as Theory of a Dead Man, Marilyn Manson, Palaye Royal among others. Before Souza pursed her music career, she was working as an actor and model. She appeared on screen in Clint Eastwoods Film "Jersey Boys" with a bit part as well as landing the lead in rock band Eve 6's music video for their single Victoria. Souza was signed to BMG Talent Agency which she was booked on adds for Adidas, Online Clothing Brands and walked the runway at LA Fashion Week. Souza is married to writing partner / band mate Tony Nova and is the granddaughter of Robert Souza - Retired Los Angeles Homicide Detective who worked on some of the most notorious murder cases in Los Angeles in the 70's - 90's such as the Wonderland Murders and The Freeway Killer cases. He wrote book's "Malice In Wonderland" and The Dirty Business of Murder: The Inside Story of Homicide Investigation in the City of Angels and is the writer/producer for the film "Hollywood Homicide" directed by Ron Shelton. He has also produced and appeared on True Crime series such as Hulu's new series "City Of Angels" and Michael Connelly’s The Wonderland Massacre & The Secret History of Hollywood.
