Aviv Barenholtz is an Israeli songwriter, producer, musician, and drummer, best known as one-third of the alt-rock band Temper City and as half of the long-running production duo Sync (with Chen/Hen Kordova). He and Kordova have collaborated since their early teens (meeting at a music festival in Holon) and were already producing hits for major Israeli artists by their late teens under the name Sync/Sync Beats. Their credits include work for Noa Kirel, Netta Barzilai, Narkis/Mergui, Ran Danker, and many others, as well as international artists and projects such as Fuerza Regida, Zeds Dead, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Barns Courtney, and tracks tied to video games/TV. Barenholtz frequently collaborates with Eytan Peled (dozens of shared credits as songwriter/producer). In the mid-2020s the three formed Temper City (Peled on vocals, Kordova on guitar/keys, Barenholtz on drums), drawing on years of session work commuting between Israel and Los Angeles. Their debut single “Self Aware” (February 2026, co-written and co-produced by the trio) became a major viral hit, topping Spotify and TikTok Global Viral charts in dozens of countries and achieving strong Alternative Airplay success. Follow-up material includes “Reverse Psychology.” He is also credited as a composer (e.g., the 2024 short Yudhehi) and maintains an active presence as a multi-instrumentalist/producer.
