Desde hace tres años, Lloyd Christmas está considerado como el chico más estúpido del instituto. Eso cambia repentinamente el primer día del último curso, cuando conoce a Harry Dunne. Se trata de un muchacho igual de descerebrado que él que se adentra por primera vez en el mundo real después de llevar 17 años en casa con su madre como maestra.
