The political history of Argentine film censorship narrated through the professional career of Néstor Gaffet (1928-1982), lawyer, film distributor and producer, publicist, occasional screenwriter, critic and teacher. He led Leopoldo Torre Nilsson to triumph in international festivals to place him among the best directors in the world. It specialized in distributing avant-garde cinema, and at the same time fought against the film censorship of iron dictatorships and weak democracies. On two occasions his disputes with the censors reached the Supreme Court of Justice. A history until today hidden from the country and Argentine cinema.
