Vida y amores de una diablesa (1989)
Ruth y Bob Patchett llevan quince años casados y tienen dos hijos. Ruth, que ha ayudado siempre a su marido en su carrera, se ha resignado a su papel de madre y ama de casa. Una noche, acompaña a Bob a una importante fiesta en la que desentona bastante. Allí conoce a Mary Fisher, una famosa autora de novelas románticas, que intenta seducir a su marido. Como Bob cree que Ruth es una diablesa que sólo intenta privarlo de su libertad, la abandona. Pero, esa misma noche, Ruth se transforma en una auténtica diablesa que se da cuenta de que lo único que puede aliviar sus penas es la venganza. Se propondrá entonces arruinar la relación de su marido con la escritora de novelas rosas.
