Doble Contratiempo (2001)
Ray Pluto es un detective de policía de Nueva York, un buen profesional en plena crisis emocional a causa del sentimiento de culpabilidad que sufre tras la muerte de su esposa y su hija, que cree podía haber evitado. Como consecuencia, Ray se encierra en sí mismo y huye de todo contacto humano, excepción hecha de su compañero Jerry y de Juan, el portero del ruinoso edificio de apartamentos donde vive. Aquejado de problemas de espalda, también interesa por ayudar a Juan un problemático adolescente, que siempre se está peleando con su padre.
