La salida de la luna (1957)
Película compuesta por tres historias independientes presentadas por Tyrone Power y con Irlanda como telón de fondo. En la primera, basada en un relato de Frank O'Connor titulado "The Majesty of the Law", se aborda el tema del orgullo y las viejas costumbres: un campesino prefiere ir a la cárcel antes que pagar una multa por haber dado una paliza a un vendedor de whisky de mala calidad. En la segunda, adaptación de la obra teatral de Martin J. McHugh "A Minute's Wait", se retrata el lento ritmo de la vida irlandesa utilizando como metáfora el sistemático retraso de un tren. La tercera, según un relato de Lady Gregroy, "The Rising of the Moon", trata la historia de un patriota irlandés que va a ser ejecutado.
