Ciudad herida (Confession of Pain) (2006)
La trilogía Infernal Affairs (readaptada por Martin Scorsese en "The Departed") volvió a demostrar que la ex-colonia británica, cuando quiere, sabe mover ficha y volver a convertirse en foco de atención mundial. Tras diversificar sus propuestas, Lau y Mak han vuelto a Hong Kong para rodar este elegante thriller urbano que retoma en buena parte las coordenadas de su éxito. Su título original, cuya traducción sería "Ciudad herida", se adapta como un guante a esta historia de personajes, amarga como el whisky con el que un detective intenta olvidar el suicidio de su novia, y triste como el pasado de un policía cuyo suegro ha sido brutalmente asesinado (información de cinemasitges.com).
