El duelo por una relación perdida puede ser tan devastador como el duelo por alguien que ha fallecido. En este drama basado en la novela del propio director, una pareja con un matrimonio infeliz acuerda una separación de prueba. Intentan reconciliarse, y al mismo tiempo, comienzan a forjarse otras relaciones.
