Jack y Sarah (1995)
Jack, un atareado abogado inglés, lleva una vida idílica con su esposa Sarah, que está esperando su primer hijo. Todo se viene abajo cuando la madre muere tras dar a luz a una niña. De pronto, Jack se encuentra sólo y desorientado ante una nueva responsabilidad para la que no está preparado. Además, su absorbente trabajo no le permite hacerse cargo de la niña. A pesar de contar con la ayuda de su madre, su suegra y William, un vagabundo al que ha dado cobijo, Jack se ve obligado a buscar a alguien que cuide de la niña. Pese a la oposición de todos, contrata a una joven e inexperta camarera americana llamada Amy.
