El joven ratoncito Timmy arriesga su vida y el lugar secreto donde se esconde su familia, cuando intenta rescatar a sus hermanos, apresados en los laboratorios del malvado Nimh.... Timmy Brisby ha sido elegido líder de la comunidad. Jenny, otra refugiada en Thorn Valley, le pide a Timmy que vuelvan a Nimh para rescatar a sus padres que tuvo que dejar allí, este, acompañado de sus gatos guardaespaldas, Floyd y Muriel, encuentran el valor necesario para salvar a sus amigos, a la comunidad y a ellos mismos. Secuela lanzada directamente a vídeo/DVD del clásico de Don Bluch "El secreto de NIMH".
