Una mujer y su hija huyen de casa por la noche y sin dejar ningún rastro. Un tiempo después la policía las da por muertas pero diez años más tarde el marido encuentra una pista que le hace pensar que están vivas pero con otra identidad. Gracias al trabajo de un investigador privado, consigue localizarlas y a partir de ese momento comenzará su venganza.
