Al filo de la muerte (1981)
Un reconocido cirujano cardio vascular, el Dr. Thomas Vrain (Sutherland) apoya la investigación dirigida por el consumado científico Dr. Aldo Gehring (Goldblum), quien esta intentando infructuosamente el desarrollo de un corazón artificial. El Doctor Vrain se verá en el dilema ético de realizar el primer transplante de un corazón enteramente artificial para salvar la vida de su joven paciente (Winningham).
