The Blue Angel (1959)
Lenzburg, Alemania, 1956. El maduro profesor de botánica Immanuel Rath, conoce en un cabaret a la bellísima cantante rubia Lola Lola, quedando hechizado por su sensual atractivo. En el instituto, sus alumnos comienzan por este motivo a mofarse de él. Es el principio de lo que va a ser su degradación moral y económica. Su pasión por esta mujer, que primero lo enamora para casarse con él, y luego lo humilla hasta lo inimaginable, convierte al hombre en un bufón que emprende un viaje hacia los infiernos, perdiendo toda dignidad humana por culpa de su pasión hacia Lola Lola, una provocadora, coqueta y perversa mujer que aprovecha su espectacular belleza para conseguir lo que quiere de los hombres, mientras canta y actúa en el cabaret "El ángel azul". Remake del clásico alemán de Josef von Sternberg interpretado por Marlene Dietrich en 1930.
