La vida es fácil en el Caribe, pero es dura para el jefe de policía Xavier Quinn. Apodado "El poderoso Quinn" por los sarcásticos isleños y con su mujer reprochándole que no se ocupa lo suficiente de su familia, se ve arrojado a la acción cuando Maubee, su amigo de la infancia, es acusado de asesinato.
