King Kong 2 (1986)
Gracias a técnicas muy modernas, unos científicos consiguen mantener a King Kong en coma durante diez años; pero para salvarle la vida necesitan hacerle una transfusión de sangre, y no hay ningún animal que tenga un plasma parecido. En la isla de Borneo, el explorador y aventurero Hans Mitchell caza a Lady Kong, un ejemplar de gorila hembra similar y la traslada a Atlanta. Una vez despierto, King Kong siente la presencia de Lady Kong, la busca y los dos huyen a un bosque cercano. Allí son perseguidos de nuevo, pero la doctora Franklin, que se ha encargado del primate durante diez años, y Hans Mitchell han formado una pareja decidida a todo con tal de ayudar a los gigantescos animales.
