Inspirado en hechos reales, esta película trata del descubrimiento del cuerpo de Melissa Cooper colgando de un columpio. La muerte de la joven de 27 años es inicialmente un suicidio. Pero dos semanas más tarde, un joven, Adam, se presenta alegando que asesinó a Melissa por orden de su esposo, Daniel Cooper.
