Las ratas del desierto (1953)
Durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial, un pequeño grupo de hombres valientes y obstinados consiguieron frenar el avance del mariscal Rommel en el Norte de África. En 1941, Rommel había conseguido que los ingleses iniciaran la retirada. El único obstáculo entre él y el Canal de Suez era la fortaleza de Tobruk, defendida por un pequeño destacamento australiano. El capitán McRoberts (Richard Burton), brillante estratega, está al mando de la operación. Conoce su inferioridad numérica y sabe que sólo cuenta con el arrojo de sus hombres y con su propio ingenio para derrotar al enemigo.
