El eslabón del Niágara (1979)
Harry Hannan es ingresado en una institución mental después de asistir impotente al asesinato de su esposa en un restaurante mexicano. Después de cuatro meses de baja por una profunda depresión, Harry intenta reincorporarse a su trabajo en una agencia secreta del gobierno pero descubre que lo han apartado del servicio de manera indefinida. Incluso le ha realquilado su propia casa a una desconocida. Harry está convencido de que alguien quiere quitárselo de encima. Un día descubre un papel bajo la puerta de su apartamento, una amenaza de muerte sacada del Deuteronomio y escrita en arameo.
