Cientos de miles de gatos vagan libremente por la frenética ciudad de Estambul, la metrópolis turca de casi 15 millones de habitantes que divide Oriente de Occidente. Sin dueño, estos animales viven entre dos mundos, ni salvajes ni domésticos -y llenan de alegría a los que deciden adoptar-. En Estambul, los gatos funcionan como reflejo de las gentes, permitiéndoles reflexionar sobre sus vidas de una forma única.
