La pesadilla de Darwin (2005)
Las orillas del mayor lago tropical del mundo, también considerado como la cuna de la humanidad, se han convertido en el escenario de la peor pesadilla de la globalización. En los años sesenta, en Tanzania, la perca del Nilo, un voraz depredador, fue introducida en el lago Victoria con fines científicos. Desde entonces, casi todas las poblaciones autóctonas de peces han sido diezmadas. Pero esta catástrofe ecológica dio a luz a una fructuosa industria ya que la carne blanca de la enorme perca se exporta a todo el hemisferio norte. Pescadores, políticos, pilotos rusos, prostitutas y comisarios europeos son los actores de un drama que va más allá de las fronteras de Tanzania. En el cielo, enormes aviones de carga procedentes de la ex Unión Soviética pasan por encima del lago, abriendo las puertas a un nuevo comercio: el de las armas.
