El alimento de los dioses (1976)
Morgan y sus amigos se encuentran de viaje en una remota isla canadiense cuando, de repente, son atacados por un enjambre de avispas gigantescas. Mientras buscan ayuda, se encontrarán con un granjero que les habla sobre el "alimento de los dioses", una sustancia que emana de la tierra de la isla en la que se encuentran, y que aumenta el tamaño de todo aquel que la ingiere. Así, descubren que la isla entera está habitada por animales que han crecido a un tamaño gigantesco. Los más peligrosos de todos éstos, sin embargo, son las ratas, que atacan y se defienden de los que consideran los intrusos humanos.
