Una película acerca de conflictos generacionales. La dramática historia de Tim Doolan (Adam Horovitz), un adolescente que termina en un centro psiquiátrico para jóvenes, después de haber pasado por un correccional. A medida que el muchacho relata su vidaal doctor Don Bloomfield (Donald Sutherland), psiquiatra del centro, se va conociendo su historia, sus antecedentes familiares y personales, y las circunstancias que lo convirtieron en un delincuente.
