Klute (1971)
En Nueva York, un hombre ha desaparecido sin dejar rastro. Klute (Donald Sutherland), un policía íntimo amigo suyo, encuentra una pista en las cartas que aquél le escribía a una prostituta llamada Bree (Jane Fonda). Va a verla para interrogarla y surge entre ellos una apasionada relación amorosa. Mientras Klute prosigue sus investigaciones en los bajos fondos, empiezan a aparecer prostitutas asesinadas; entonces le asalta la sospecha de que Bree pueda ser la próxima víctima.
