Luce (2019)
Han pasado diez años desde que Amy y Peter Edgar adoptasen un niño procedente de la guerra de Eritrea, donde tuvo lugar una cruenta guerra civil. Luce Edgar se ha convertido en un estudiante modelo al que todo el mundo adora dentro de su comunidad en Arlington, Virginia. Una de sus profesoras, Harriet Wilson, está convencida de que Luce se convertirá en un símbolo de la excelencia negra, un referente para sus compañeros y para la gente que le rodea. Sin embargo, Harriet descubre una alarmante actitud social con respecto a la violencia política en una de las redacciones que pide para el instituto, lo que hace temer que Luce esconde mucho más de lo que aparenta. Sus peores sospechas se confirman tras abrir su taquilla personal, donde encuentra algo que hace encender todas las alarmas.
