The Republic Of Love (2004)
Adaptación de la novela de Carol Shields, que cuenta la historia de Tom Avery (Bruce Greenwood), un carismático locutor de radio impulsivo y enamoradizo... Su visión del amor le ha llevado a tener multitud de relaciones, e incluso a casarse (y divorciarse) tres veces, antes de cumplir los 40. Su actual novia Fay (Emilia Fox) tiene una idea del amor muy distinta a la de Tom. Fay sueña con una relación "perfecta" y para siempre, con un amor eterno, con un sólido matrimonio como el de sus padres. Pero el matrimonio de los padres de Fay resulta no ser tan perfecto, y un día éstos deciden separarse tras 40 años de casados. Este hecho descoloca a Fay, y le hace sentirse terriblemente insegura incluso en su propia relación. Tom deberá demostrarla que su caso es distinto y que están hechos el uno para el otro.
