Huida hacia el sol (1956)
Katty (Jane Greer), una periodista norteamericana redactora de un semanario, llega a un perdido pueblo mexicano siguiendo la pista de Michael Latimer (Richard Widmark), famoso novelista de quien nadie tiene noticias. Latimer se siente inmediatamente atraído por ella. Cuando la mujer decide marcharse, el escritor ofrece llevarla en su avioneta. Durante el vuelo ella, sin darse cuenta, pone un monedero en la palanca de mandos del avión, y el rumbo de vuelo varía sin que ellos lo adviertan, estrellándose en medio de la selva.
