Rescate desesperado (2000)
La empresa Stevens Corporation prepara el lanzamiento de un satélite con el arma más poderosa de la historia, el Thunder Stray. Detrás del proyecto está una organización terrorista relacionado con una banda de traficantes de armas que mantienen contacto con la mafia rusa. Estos quieren hacerse con el software del Thunder Stray y hacerse con su control. Para ello atentan contra el edificio de investigación espacial, ocasionando ocho víctimas. Tylor, agente de la CIA, es asignado al caso, colaborando en el traslado de información confidencial del Thunder Stray, con destino a Honolulu en un Boeing 747. Una vez en el aire, el piloto, que no es otro que un confidente y asesino de la mafia, incendia un motor y el avión tierne que amerizar para que desde un barco los terroristas se hagan con la información y los pasajeros como rehenes, entre los que se encuentra el propietario de Stevens Corporation. El avión se hunde y la Marina intenta evitar lo peor reflotando el aeroplano.
