Pánico bajo el hielo (1997)
El submarino militar estadounidense Portland será el encargado de transportar a un equipo de científicos a las aguas del ártico para realizar trabajos de investigación. La misión en un principio será rutinaria, una típica misión de dos semanas de patrulla por la heladas aguas árticas. Pero la compañía de los científicos no es del agrado de la tripulación militar, ya que, lo que empieza siendo una misión rutinaria, pasa a ser una misión de combate cuando aparece un submarino ruso en el sonar. Película dirigida por Gregg Champion bajo el seudónimo Alan Smithee.
