La importancia de llamarse Ernesto (2002)
Gran Bretaña, 1890. Jack Worthing tiene un secreto. Lleva una vida tranquila y respetable en el campo, donde ejerce como protector de la bella Cecily Cardew; pero cuando necesita divertirse, se escapa a Londres y se hace pasar por su imaginario hermano Ernesto, un hombre tan disoluto y extravagante como su íntimo amigo 'Algy' Algernon Moncrieff. Sin embargo, el objetivo de su último viaje a Londres es proponer matrimonio a la prima de Algy, Gwendolen Fairfax. La chica acepta la propuesta, pero su madre, la temible Lady Bracknell, que tiene otros planes para su hija, averigua que Jack, siendo un bebé, fue hallado en una bolsa abandonada en la Estación Victoria. Algy, aprovechando la preocupante situación de su amigo, visita a Cecily. Cuando se presenta como Ernesto, descubre encantado que la chica hace tiempo que sueña con casarse con el hermano errante. Pero, cuando Jack regresa con la noticia de que su hermano ha muerto, las cosas empiezan a complicarse.
