El leñador (2004)
Al salir de la cárcel, tras doce años de condena por agresión sexual a menores, Walter (Kevin Bacon) se instala en una ciudad, consigue trabajo y trata de llevar una vida normal, pero su pasado lo atormenta. Aunque es muy reservado, encuentra un inesperado consuelo en Vickie (Kyra Sedgwick), una mujer dispuesta a no tener en cuenta su pasado. Lo que no puede evitar es el férreo control al que lo somete su cuñado (Benjamin Bratt), el desprecio de su hermana y la vigilancia de un desconfiado policía, el detective Lucas (Mos Def). Cuando traba amistad con una niña pequeña en un parque del barrio, empieza a temer que se despierten en él sus peligrosos instintos.
