Tras haberse quemado en una traumática experiencia infantil, un magnate juguetero sin escrúpulos llamado Tyler Madison se comporta de manera despreciable en sus negocios y apenas atiende a su esposa Elyse y a su hijo Danny. Justo antes de Navidad, Madison se sube a bordo de su jet privado y se dirige hacia el polo norte dispuesto a echar a su rival, Santa Claus, del negocio.
