Matthew David McConaughey (nacido el 4 de noviembre de 1969) es un actor y productor estadounidense, reconocido por su carisma y su distintiva filosofía de vida "alright, alright, alright". Ha sido galardonado con el premio Óscar al mejor actor, un Globo de Oro y un premio del Sindicato de Actores por su transformadora interpretación de Ron Woodroof en el drama biográfico Dallas Buyers Club (2013). En 2014, fue incluido en la lista de las 100 personas más influyentes del mundo por la revista Time. ​Su salto a la fama ocurrió con la comedia de culto Dazed and Confused (1993), pero se consolidó como una estrella de Hollywood liderando exitosas comedias románticas a principios de los 2000, como The Wedding Planner (2001) y How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days (2003).
