Loser (2000)
Paul, un étudiant un peu naïf et originaire de la campagne, se retrouve à New York partageant sa chambre avec des jeunes gens qui le détestent et font tout pour lui rendre la vie impossible. Coincé et empoté, il est en quelque sorte la tête de Turc de la fac. Mais la situation change lorsqu'il fait la connaissance de Dora Diamond, une fille sensible et paumée qui, à la suite d'événements malheureux, se retrouve sans le sou et n'a plus d'endroit où loger. Au fur et à mesure que leur entourage les rejettent, Paul et Dora se rapprochent et se confient. Dora aide Paul à se trouver un look plus à la mode et à lui faire apprécier cette grande ville qu'est New York, tandis que ce dernier l'accueille dans son petit appartement. En s'aidant mutuellement, les deux jeunes gens vont sortir aguerris de cette expérience.
