Maman était new-look (1947)
Dans cette chronique d'une famille de vaudeville, Myrtle McKinley (promotion 1900) se rend à San Francisco pour fréquenter une école de commerce, mais se retrouve dans une ligne de choeur. Bientôt, la star Frank Burt remarque son talent, l'engage pour un "deux actes", puis l'épouse. Les incidents du mariage et les douleurs de croissance de la fille aînée Iris se succèdent, entrecoupés de numéros musicaux nostalgiques.
