Une scientifique est en possession d'un rapport compromettant qui prouve les malversations de son ancien employeur. Cependant, elle n'ose pas divulguer les informations, car elle subit des menaces et des intimidations. Elle demande alors l'aide d'un intermédiaire anonyme pour conclure une entente assurant sa sécurité.
