La mission du Commandant Lex (1952)
En pleine Guerre de Sécession, l'armée nordiste voit ses convois régulièrement attaqués par des pillards. Un nouveau troupeau de chevaux conduit par le major Kearney est abandonné sans combattre. De retour au fort, ce dernier passe en conseil de guerre pour lâcheté devant l'ennemi et est rayé des cadres...
